Commander Special Week

Commander Special Week is a free character unlocked in Finale Part 2 of Act 1 of the Main Story. She is a Turf Long-distance specialist focused on Nakayama Racecourse, with A aptitudes in both Medium and Long distances running as Pace Chaser or Late Surger.

WARNING

As she is a free uma, you CANNOT obtain her from the gacha! Her star pieces can only be obtained from either Statue Exchange or Transfer Requests.

Her Unique, Dignified Dreamlike Brocade , activates when any Skill procs on the final corner during late-race, moderately increasing velocity (0.25 m/s) for 5 seconds. At Nakayama Racecourse, this Skill greatly increases velocity instead (0.45 m/s) for 5 seconds. The key to making her Unique consistent is her Potential 5 unlock skill, Best in Japan, a gold Skill that activates at a random point on the Final Corner in Long races. This gives her Unique a reliable, self-contained trigger without needing to rely on lobby conditions.

This, combined with the fact that her innate Skills are mostly usable on a Long-distance, Nakayama Racecourse race in the Winter, points towards a kit designed specifically for the Arima Kinen (Nakayama 2500m).

As a parent, she can pass down a strong set of Skills useful for Arima Kinen (Nakayama 2500m) Champions Meetings: Long Straightaways, Long Corners, Winter Runner ○, Nakayama Racecourse and of course, her Unique, Dignified Dreamlike Brocade.

How to Unlock

Prerequisites:

• Complete all Main Story Act 1 chapters and episodes up to Finale Part 2 Race 7
• Have the Team Sirius Group Support Card. This is obtained at the end of Main Story Act 1 Finale Part 1. Level and Limit Break do not matter.

Steps:

1. Start a Career with Team Sirius in your Deck. The Uma choice does not matter as long as you can equip the card.
2. Continue through the career until you have unlocked recreations with Team Sirius (remember to click the card early on to activate it!)
3. Complete all recreations, buy Best in Japan. and either fail (NOT "Give Up"!!!) or finish the Career.

TIP

You do not need to build a proper Uma to inspire Special Week!

What dictates the secret ending is if you have Best in Japan or not. This Haru Urara was used to unlock Commander Special Week.

4. Go to back to Race 7: Arima Kinen in Main Story Act 1 Finale Part 2 and select the veteran with Best in Japan. You will know you have done it correctly if Special Week is given a special inspiration animation simliar to the animation at the beginning of a career.
5. Sit back and watch the race.
6. Once the race is over, a new episode will be unlocked in the chapter. Watch through it and at the end, you will recieve Commander Special Week!

Fun Fact: The Arima Kinen race is based off the real life 1999 race, where Grass Wonder beat Special Week by a nose, which is reflected ingame with their lengths!

Also, the placement of the umas ingame of the "normal ending" follow the real life placings: T.M. Opera O, Tsurumaru Tsuyoshi, Mejiro Bright, Growing Suzuka (who is represented by a mob Uma) and Narita Top Road placed 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th respectively.

Interestingly, in the "good ending" where Special Week wins by a nose over Grass Wonder, the mob Uma representing Growing Suzuka and Narita Top Road swap placements.
