Guide to Updated URA and Unity Cup Scenarios

The patch from July 1st brought brand new mechanics to the URA Finale and Unity Cup scenarios. This guide goes over all the changes for each.

URA Finale

The Stat Caps have been increased for all Scenarios. For URA Finale the Stat Caps have been raised by 200, for a new Cap of 1400.

Happy Meek

The update makes Happy Meek more interactive. As she is supposed to be your Uma's rival in this scenario, she can now show up on Trainings. When she does, there is a chance to Duel with her. You get an icon next to the training in that case. Note that Happy Meek will not challenge you during the summer training.

Happy Meek challenges you to a duel!

Happy Meek challenges you to a duel!

If you successfully complete the training, Happy Meek will challenge your Uma to a Contest in one out of three categories. The top choice will always be the same as the Training Facility you just Trained on, and the other two are chosen at random. An icon displays your chance of defeating Happy Meek.

Engaging in a Contest will give you rewards according ot the following table. If you win, Happy Meek levels up and her next Contest will be more difficult.

Happy Meek has 5 levels. If you manage to defeat her five times during the career, a stronger version of her will race against you in the URA Finale final race. If you best her there, you get +20 to all Stats and 150 Skill Points instead of the usual +10 Stats and 80 Skill Points. You also get a hint for Past My Limits, which is a new scenario skill that gives you a Target Speed increase in the Final Spurt.

Racing Spirit Skills

All of the new Racing Spirit Skills are relatively cheap with a base cost of 150 Skill Points.

  • Racing Spirit: Speed is a Mid-Race Speed skill. The Skill can activate at a random point and has short base duration of 2 seconds.
  • Racing Spirit: Stamina is a Final Spurt Speed skill. It costs you a bit of Stamina and also goes off at a random point, so it might activate too late to have any impact.
  • Racing Spirit: Power is a Final Spurt Speed skill as well, but with the added condition that your Uma needs to overtake another Uma in the Final Spurt. If that happens early, it will last to the finish line with its base duration of 4s.
  • Racing Spirit: Guts activates when your Uma engages in the Dueling mechanic. This can occur in the Final Spurt. The skill is a short Acceleration increase.
  • Racing Spirit: Wit is somewhat similar to Tail Held High as it activates after two Skill activations in the second half of the race.
  • Racing Spirit: Mood is a Passive Skill that activates if your Uma's Mood is Good or better. It increases Stamina, Guts, and Wit by 40.

You can get Sparks for these Skills as for all other Skills. These Skills also have an improved version noted by a "+". These give some Stats when inheriting the Skill. Racing Spirit: Mood gives some Skill Points instead.

Help from Director Akikawa

Finally, a Training Event has been added to both Summer Camps. Before the Early August turn, Director Akikawa appears and refreshes 30 Energy, making training in summer much more sustainable.

Unity Cup

New Stat Caps

Unity Cup enjoys new Stat Caps as well. All Stat Caps have been increased by 100 and Wit goes all the way to 1800.

Skill Hints from Spirit Bursts

A Spirit Burst always awards you with a Skill Hint. These Hints are no longer chosen from the Aptitudes of your Uma but from the Skill Hints of the triggering Support Card. Unless it is one of your supports, the Hint will be chosen from their R Support Card version. If they have none left to give, because you either bought them all or have them all at Max Hint Level, you get the Skill at random, as earlier, based on your aptitudes.

The increased Energy cost for triggering a Spirit Burst has been removed. The Trainings cost just the regular amount of Energy now.

Extreme Spirit Bursts

The central feature of this update is the Extreme Spirit Bursts. After one of your team members achieves a Spirit Burst, they now have a chance to perform an Extreme Spirit Burst.

Like the regular Spirit Bursts, this increases your Uma's Stats, and also provides you with a Hint for the Ignited Spirit Skill corresponding to the Training where the Extreme Spirit Burst was triggered. If you have the maximum Hints for this Ignited Spirit Skill or already purchased it, you gain Hints for a different one instead.

Trainings with an Extreme Spirit Burst can never fail.

Unity Cup Races

The Races of the Unity Cup allow the use of up to 3 Alarm Clocks to re-do them should you fail. This will be rare, however, since the Extreme Spirit Bursts strengthen your team significantly.

Team Rank S+

Your team can now achieve the S+ rank. This will give you another hint for It's On.

New Unity Cup Teams

To challenge your team, the opposition also gets a boost. In the fourth Unity Cup race, an Elite Team can appear once you have at least achieved A rank and triggered at least one Extreme Spirit Burst. When they appear, you get a short introduction, and they will prominently replace the top opponent choice.

Defeating this Elite Team boosts Riko's Team Zenith's strength going into the final race!

If you manage to take the Unity Cup against them, you will get a higher chance to inherit the Unity Cup Scenario Spark, and you can get the upgraded version of the Ignited Spirit Skill Sparks. Those are marked with a "+", and when Inherited, they award an additional bonus in the Stat corresponding to the Ignited Skill.
