Next Steps

A subsection of the Beginner's Guide.

Now that we have a basic understanding of the game and its mechanics, we can start to think about our mid to long term goals.

Beginner Missions

Under the Special tab in the Missions menu, there are permanent missions that reward 3* Trainees and SSR Support Cards along with a variety of useful materials and Carats. While these missions do not need to be rushed, it’s important to at least keep them in mind.

Initial Missions (no time limit)

Initial Missions (no time limit)

While most of these missions can be done naturally by playing the game, there will be missions that we have to finish consciously.

G1 Missions

Occasionally, there will be a set of missions released that correspond to the G1 races that are happening in real life. Because we are on an accelerated schedule, the G1 race timing in the game will not reflect what G1 is currently happening. These missions can include racing in specific G2 and G3 races in a Career, completing 10 Careers, obtaining 1.5m fans, and winning the aforementioned G1 race in a Career.

Champion’s Meeting

Champion’s Meeting (CM) is a rotating PvP Event that is considered by many to be the main content of the game outside of Careers. The Track for the Champion’s Meeting is announced weeks in advance, and Veteran Umamusume must be raised to compete in it. Because this event is a good source of Carats and other useful materials, it’s recommended to at least take part, even if we cannot win.

In the long-term, this is most likely the Event that we will aim to work towards. Check the Champion’s Meeting Section for more information.

Legacies (Parents)

Also see: Sparks

Another thing to consider in the mid-term is making our own Legacies. As we play through the Career on different Umas, we will start receiving Veterans that have better Sparks than the Legacies that we have been using previously. By constantly using better Legacies, we will be able to constantly improve our Careers. For now, we can focus on the Blue Sparks of our Legacies, and move to other aspects down the line.

In the long-term, we want to have Legacies that have Blue, Pink, and White Sparks tailored for the content we are building towards. The work we do on the Legacies early on will help us obtain Legacies in the long-term. For more information about Legacies, be sure to check out our Sparks guide!

Additionally, there is a recurring event called Transfer Request, where we can trade in existing Legacies in return for some resources and 5 star shards of a specific Umamusume Legacy that’s traded in.

Legend Races

Every few weeks, there is a rotating PvE Racing Event called Legend Races. Legend Races will cycle through 3 or 4 Umas, and reward Star Shards of the respective Uma. Winning the Race for the first time rewards extra Star Shards and Carats, so it’s important to aim to win at least once per Uma.

Legend Races generally happen around Champion’s Meetings, and use the same Track as that CM. Often, players will use the Veterans they raised for CM in Legend Races.

Once we’ve familiarized ourselves with URA and acquired better Support Cards, we can begin to look at the next Scenario, Unity Cup. Be sure to check out our Unity Cup Career Guide for more information!
