Debuff Skills Explained

Nice Nature watched in horror as her Trainer spent 360 SP on All-Seeing Eyes. It dawned upon her… She was not an Ace. She was a Debuffer.

Debuff skills have a few main goals:

  • To reduce the HP of an opposing Uma
  • To reduce the Velocity of an opposing Uma
  • To cause the status effect “Rushed” to last longer on an opposing Uma
  • To reduce vision of an opposing Uma (See Vision Skills)

Not all Debuffs are meta-defining. As Global continues to update, Umas will generally have enough Stamina and Recovery Skills to survive HP Debuffs.

Subdued and Flustered Position

These Debuffs reduce HP by a flat amount. They are separated into 2 categories, Subdued and Flustered; meaning you can stack one of each Skill type.

Both Skill types have their own versions for each position. E.g. Subdued Front Runners & Flustered End Closers.

Subdued Debuffs will activate in the early-race, while Flustered Debuffs will activate in the mid-race. They will hit any applicable opposing Uma regardless of range.

Trick - Front/Rear

These Debuffs reduce HP by a flat amount. They are separated into 2 Debuff Skills, Front and Rear. These Debuffs require at least one opposing uma to be under the status of Rushed in order to activate.

  • Trick (Front) - Will only hit opposing Umas behind when the Debuffer is in position 1-4.
  • Trick (Rear) - Will only hit opposing Umas in front of the Debuffer is in position 6-9.

Specialty HP (Stamina) Debuffs

These Debuffs are specific to Umas or Support Cards. They drain more HP than the generic Debuffs above, but only when upgraded to their gold version. They also generally have more stringent requirements.

  • Murmur / Mystifying Murmur - Can only be used on Medium tracks during the mid-race and will only hit opposing Umas in front of the Debuffer as long as your Uma has been Blocked for at least 1 second.
  • Stamina Eater / Stamina Siphon - Can only be used on Long tracks during the mid-race and will only hit opposing Umas in front of the Debuffer as long as your Uma is in position 6-9.
  • Sharp Gaze / All-Seeing Eyes - Can only be used by Late Surgers during the late-race and will only hit opposing Umas in the Debuffer’s field of view. (See Vision Skills)
  • Tantalizing Trick - Currently only usable by Halloween Rice Shower, this Debuff activates during the mid-race and will only hit opposing Rushed Umas behind the Debuffer.

Hesitant Position

Current Speed Debuffs slow down an Uma instantly without deceleration, instantly reducing Velocity even if they are not at Target Speed. Hesitant Debuffs will activate in the late-race and will hit any applicable Uma regardless of distance. Umas will be affected by this for a base duration of 3 seconds for -0.1m/s Current Speed until the debuff wears off.

Specialty Speed Debuffs

These Debuffs are specific to Umas or Support Cards. They reduce more speed than the generic above, but only when upgraded to their gold version. They also generally have more stringent requirements.

  • Intimidate / Adored by All - Can only be used on Sprint tracks during the early-race and will only hit opposing Umas behind the debuffer as long as your Uma is in position 1-4. Additionally, the race must have been ongoing for at least 5 seconds before this Skill will activate.
  • Speed Eater - Can only be used on Mile tracks during the mid-race and will only hit the 5 closest Umas behind the Debuffer as long as the Debuffer is in position 1-3. Currently, the gold version of this Skill is not available on the global version.
  • Tether / Dominator - Can only be used on Medium tracks during the late-race and will only hit opposing Umas in front of the debuffer as long as your Uma is in position 6-9.
  • Intense Gaze - Can only be used by End Closers during the late-race and will only hit opposing Umas in the debuffer’s field of view (See Vision Skills). Currently, the gold version of this Skill is not available on Global.

Frenzied Debuffs

These Debuffs increase the maximum duration of the Rushed status on opposing Umas.

Frenzied Debuffs can activate when an Uma enters the Rushed status and will hit any applicable Uma regardless of distance.

Vision Debuffs

These Debuffs reduce the field of view of opposing Umas. See the Vision Skills section for a detailed breakdown on how these Skills actually reduce field of view.

  • Smoke Screen / Illusionist - Can only be used on Long tracks during the late-race and will only hit opposing Umas in front of the Debuffer.
  • Disorient / Dazzling Disorientation - Can only be used by Pace Chasers during the late-race and will only hit opposing Umas behind the Debuffer as long as your Uma is in position 1-4.
