Stats
Every Uma has 5 basic stats - Speed, Stamina, Power, Guts, and Wit.
They also have 3 categories of Aptitudes - Track, Distance, and Style.

Daiwa Scarlet, prepped for CM7 (Medium, Tokyo 2000m).
Speed
Speed determines the Top Speed an Uma can reach during the Last Spurt.
For more information, see Target Speed.
Stamina
Stamina determines your ability to not tire out in the race (HP).
For more information, see Race Mechanics#Stamina.
Power
Power determines how quickly an Uma reaches their target speed (Acceleration). This helps establish better initial positions during the early-race and overtaking opponents in the Late-Race. It also helps with hill-climbing ability.
For more information, see Race Mechanics.
Guts
Guts determines your speed in Spot Struggle, Dueling, and Last Spurt, while also reducing HP consumption during the Last Spurt.
For more information, see Race Mechanics#Guts.
Wit
Wit determines your Skill Activation Rate and helps you take a more forward position in the mid-race with mechanics such as Overtake Checks and Downhill Mode.
Wit Skill Activation Rate Curve
For more information, see Skills and Race Mechanics#Wit.
WARNING
The Wit Check is the same for all skills.
Gold Skills do not randomly have less of a chance to activate.
Probability to hit X amount of skills per Y wit
As you can see, there is no Wit "softcap." There will always be more than one Skill that is necessary for an Uma's win condition.
Stat Priority
Mandatory
Stamina - Having sufficient HP is critical to ensuring the Uma does not tire out before the race is over, allowing them to run at their Last Spurt speed for the longest possible duration. While Guts does help reduce the Last Spurt HP burn, increasing Stamina is much more cost-efficient in ensuring survival.
Speed - A higher Top Speed during the last spurt is almost as critical as having sufficient Stamina to ensure your Uma runs this section of the race the fastest. Winning a PvP race is difficult without capped Speed.
Important
Power and Wit
- Whether Power should be prioritized over Wit depends on the layout of the course, such as the steepness of hills and how much of the track is hilly terrain. In general, it is important to have sufficient Power (~800-1000, depending on the course), and raise Wit as high as possible to give your Uma the best chance to proc skills and be able to roll Wit Checks which can increase her speed during the race. Note that Wit only ever improves your chances for good outcomes; high Wit Umas can still occasionally get unlucky and vice-versa. See Race Mechanics for more details.
Optional
Guts - While Guts is a component in HP and overall survival, it does not have as pronounced a benefit as the other stats. It is generally unadvised to focus on Guts, as increasing Speed, Power or Wit will have a more consistent and noticeable benefit to your Uma's strength. However, this will change in later scenarios when Speed, Power, and Wit can be reliably maxed, leaving room for more Guts training.
Aptitudes
There are 3 types of aptitudes: Track, Distance, and Style. These represent the conditions the Uma is best suited to.
Track
Track aptitude affects the Uma's ability to accelerate on that track type. It is important to note that the impact of acceleration skills far overshadows the increase in acceleration from track S.
| Aptitude | S | A | B | C | D | E | F | G |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Acceleration | 1.05 | 1 | 0.9 | 0.8 | 0.7 | 0.5 | 0.3 | 0.1 |
Distance
This aptitude affects the Uma's Top Speed on the last spurt. It is a high priority to increase this aptitude as much as possible for the relevant race, ideally to S.
| Aptitude | S | A | B | C | D | E | F | G |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Target Speed | 1.05 | 1 | 0.9 | 0.8 | 0.6 | 0.4 | 0.2 | 0.1 |
| Acceleration | 1 | 1 | 1 | 1 | 1 | 0.6 | 0.5 | 0.4 |
Style
This aptitude affects the Uma's Wit during the race. However, this aptitude does NOT affect Skill Activation positively or negatively. It only affects the Wit stat utilized for race mechanic Wit Checks. As the impact of style aptitude is the smallest, it is generally not prioritized.
| Aptitude | S | A | B | C | D | E | F | G |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Wit | 1.1 | 1 | 0.85 | 0.75 | 0.6 | 0.4 | 0.2 | 0.1 |
