Recommended Stats
With over 800m of downhill on the track, Umas will survive with any amount of Stamina. Trainers should aim to get enough Stamina for the Uma’s Career Races, rather than the CM.
Consequently, not needing to train an entire stat means the budget for Power, Wit, and even Guts has increased. Although Power and Wit should be prioritised over Guts, Guts will remain a key tiebreaker in many races due to the high frequency of dueling on the Final Straight.
Inherited Skills
Chuukyo 1200m has had a slight change since the last time it was run in CM9, the previous Capricorn Cup. The Final Straight now starts in the mid-race, 12m before the late-race starts. This means any skills that instantly activate on the Final Straight will act as guaranteed Speed Carryover. Because there is a lack of consistent Acceleration options, Speed Carryover will make a remarkable difference in an Uma’s late-race performance. The most reliable options for this are
G00 1st. F∞; for Front Runners and Pace Chasers, and
Pedal to the Metal for Late Surgers.
WARNING
Players should take caution not to take too many Skills that activate in the mid-race portion of the Final Straight. 12m is not sufficient time to Accelerate to higher Target Speeds if many Skills were to proc simultaneously. About 0.3m/s of Target Speed increase should be considered the upper limit for Speed Carryover.
WARNING
Many useful Inherited Skills come from Uma (marked with an ‘!’) with poor Aptitudes and Affinity with Sprint Uma. Players may choose to prioritise good Pink and White sparks over the Grand Parent options presented.
Final Straight Acceleration Skills are to be prioritised in the Parent layer. These Skills are
Victoria por plancha ☆,
Budding Blossom, and
Louder! Tracen Cheer!.
