Grand Concert Guide

Grand Concert is the fourth Scenario. It focuses on Training, gathering Performance Points to buy Lessons, and performing in promotional Concerts until the climactic Grand Concert.

INFO

Unlike Trackblazer, this Scenario brings back Character Secret Events. See the Character page of your Trainee for details!

Stats

New Stat Caps

The maximum Stat caps for Grand Concert look like this:

SpeedSpeed
1600
StaminaStamina
1300
PowerPower
1300
GutsGuts
1500
WitWit
1300

INFO

Please keep in mind that any gain above 1200 is halved.

For example, 1600 Speed is treated as 1400 Speed:

(1200+(16001200)2=1400)

when calculating Target Speed.

Basic Stat Gains

The Stat gains received from Training have also been increased, especially the Skill Points across all Trainings. Like in URA Finale, you increase the Facility level by training a total of four times at that Facility.

Inheritance

The Blue Sparks gained from Inheritance also raise the Stat caps, depending on the Spark rating. These are the Stat uncaps gained at the start of the career:

Spark RatingStat Uncap
1*+4
2*+9
3*+16
6*+32
9*+48

During Inheritance Events, the Stat uncaps gained are random.

Inheriting a parent's Unique Skill via green Sparks also raises the Stat caps (but does not award direct Stats), depending on the parent's Stat bonuses. For example: Oguri Cap has a bonus in Speed and Power, and inheriting Triumphant Pulse from her awards an additional Stat uncap in those two Stats. Only three stat caps can be raised this way, even if the parent has four different stat bonuses.

Decks

Because of the high Speed cap and the Scenario mechanic, a Deck with at least 2 Speed and 2 Wit Cards is recommended. The remaining Slots should be used on palLight Hello and a flex Card.

Light Hello

palLight Hello is the Scenario Link Pal Card for Grand Concert. She is important for three reasons:

  • As a Pal Card, she provides plenty of Energy and Mood ups when you need them.
  • She gives you a hint for See Ya Later!. This is the gold version of Playtime's Over! and a highly recommended Skill.
  • palLight Hello helps you with the Scenario mechanic. When you train with her, she has a chance to provide you with 20 Performance Points of the type you have the least of. These extra Points can improve your career runs significantly.

INFO

Light Hello fulfills all of this at LB0. However, she gains 5% Training Effectiveness at LB1 and another 5% at LB2, which makes her even more useful.

Performances

The centerpiece of Grand Concert is the series of Concerts leading up to the titular Grand Concert. The first Concert takes place at the end of Junior Year, with another held every six months thereafter. To achieve a Great Success, you must fill the Hype Level by acquiring Lessons.

The Hype level shows your progress toward the next Concert

Points

The currency used to buy Lessons is Performance points. There are five different kinds of Points:

Dance, Passion, Vocal, Visual, and Composure.

Your current Performance Points are displayed in the upper left side of the screen.

Every Training has a primary Performance Points associated with it. A Training yields the primary Performance Point type 60% of the time and the secondary Performance Point type 30% of the time. The remaining 10% is split randomly among the other three Point types.

TrainingPrimary Point TypeSecondary Point Type
Speed
Stamina
Power

Wit

Friendship Training gives you two types of Performance Points. One is determined by the Training you perform, while the other is whichever Point type you have the fewest of at the start of the turn.

The Rainbow Training here awards both Dance and Passion Performance points

palLight Hello's Training Together event has a 45% chance to grant 20 additional Points of the type you currently have the least of.

Each Performance Point type has an initial cap of 200.

Performance points Calculation

The exact number of Performance Points you receive depends on the Facility level and the number of Support Cards on the Facility, and is increased by Scenario-linked characters.

This is the formula:

PerformanceToken=(S+F)×1.15C+2L

S: Base value determined by the Training type (Wit = 5, others = 9)
F: Facility level (1 for level 1, 2 for level 2, and so on)
C: Number of Support Cards on the Facility
L: Number of Scenario-link Cards on the Facility

Examples: A Speed Training on a Level 1 Facility with no Supports gives 10 Performance Points.
The same Training with two Support Cards gives 13 Performance Points.
If one of those Support Cards is a Scenario-linked character, it would be 15 Performance Points.

Lessons

When you open the Shop, you will be offered three Lessons to buy. They do not expire. Once you buy one Lesson, three new ones will appear.

If you do not have enough Performance points to buy a Lesson, you can reserve it. The outstanding Points are then displayed directly on the Point bar.

There are two kinds of Lessons: Techniques and Songs.

Techniques

Techniques provide a Mastery Bonus, a one-time gain that takes effect immediately when you buy them. That can be a Stat gain, Skill Points, a Skill Hint, or Energy.

INFO

Skill Hints are based on your Uma's A (or above) Aptitudes in Style and Distance. The Lesson will tell you what Style or Distance the Skill is related to in the Shop menu.

TIP

The Energy Techniques are highly recommended to avoid resting!

Technique Availability

Which Techniques are available depends on the number of Concerts you have performed in.

Techniques Needed for a Song

After you buy a specific number of Techniques, you get a selection of Songs to buy. This specific number depends on where you are in your career.

Below you can see the number of Techniques required before you are offered a new Song.

ConcertsNumber of Techniques Required
Before 1st Concert1-2-3-4-4-2-3
Before 4th Concert2-2-2-4-5-2-2
Before Grand Concert2-2-2-4-3-2-2

Before your first Concert, you need to buy a Technique to unlock your first Song. Another two Techniques will unlock the second Song, and two more for the third. To get a fourth Song, you need four Techniques.

The number of Techniques required resets after each Concert.

Songs

Unlike Techniques, Songs have two kinds of bonuses: a Mastery Bonus, which you receive immediately when learning the Song, and a Concert Bonus, which takes effect after your next Concert and lasts for the remainder of your Career.

Song Saving

Song Saving occurs when you have reached a selection of Songs to buy, but do not buy one before your next Concert. Since the shop does not change, you can buy one of those Songs after the Concert. This counts as a Lesson in the progression to the next Song (see Gameplay). The drawback is that you get the Concert Bonus after the next Concert. This is done primarily when the Songs do not have a desirable bonus, so you get to the next Songs a bit quicker.

Example of Song Saving

Concerts

Songs raise your Hype Level. You need to learn three Songs before every Concert to achieve a Great Success. A great success rewards you with +10 to all Stats, while having fewer Songs only gives you +3 to all Stats.

Additionally, you receive Skill Points for every Lesson you have learned in the time between Concerts. A Song is worth +25 SP, a Technique is worth +5 SP.

In total, you will perform in five Concerts:

ConcertTurn
1st ConcertJunior Year Late December
2nd ConcertClassic Year Late June
3rd ConcertClassic Year Late December
4th ConcertSenior Year Late June
Grand Concert (5th)Senior Year Late December

INFO

Performing in a Concert will also raise each of your Performance Points caps by 50.

Gameplay

The gameplay loop of Grand Concert is all about acquiring Points through Training and then spending them to buy Techniques and Songs.

The most important aspect is understanding how many Techniques you need for a new Song, and that this resets after each Concert.

Since palLight Hello has a chance to give you 20 Points, you should prioritize training with her.

WARNING

Since Races do not give you any Points, it is highly recommended not to do extra Races unless you need them to unlock your Uma's secret event!

Strategy for Junior Year

  • Maximize Friendship Bonds: Since Friendship Training yields more Points, you should get your Friendship bonds as fast as you can.

  • Target Mastery Stat Bonus Songs: Concert Bonuses only come into effect after the Concert, while a Mastery Bonus increasing your Trainings starts working immediately. So try to focus on these Songs first and get Friendship Bonus Songs later, closer to the Concert, if possible. Friendship Bonus can stack to great effect throughout your career! Aim for at least three Songs for your first Concert, to ensure you get Great Success!

Strategy for Classic Year

  • Target Skill Point Bonus: The Songs "Run For Our Dream" and "Grow Up, Shine!" increase your Skill Point gain, which will add up during the career. It is highly recommended to buy these Songs as soon as they are available to maximize your SP.

  • Buying Songs: Keep in mind that you need five Techniques to unlock a fifth Song. It is usually recommended to only go up to four Songs per Concert and preserve your Points for the next cycle.

Strategy for Senior Year

  • Aim for a total of 18 Songs: This will unlock "GIRLS' LEGEND U" and, with it, the Scenario Gold Skill I Wanna Win with You. If you fail to get 18 total Songs, you will get the White Skill Halfway to a Dream instead. This skill increases speed and acceleration at a random point in the second half of the race, if you are in 6th place or better.
  • Smart Purchasing: Before the Grand Concert, if you have the choice between a Song with a Mastery Stat Bonus and one with a Concert Friendship Bonus, it is recommended to buy the Stat Bonus first. Since the Concert Bonus only comes into play after the Grand Concert it will only give you a bonus for the final three training turns of the career.
  • The 21-Song Technique Pivot: If you manage to secure 21 Songs before the Grand Concert, you will unlock a Technique Lesson in addition to your remaining Song Lessons. If the available Song choices are weak, check your Performance Points; it may be more efficient to skip the Songs and spam Technique Lessons to maximize your Skill Points after the Grand Concert.

Scenario Rewards

If you use any of the Scenario-linked characters, Smart Falcon, Mihono Bourbon, Agnes Tachyon, or Silence Suzuka, or one of their Support Cards, you can get a Gold Skill. Without the Scenario-linked characters, you can select the White version of the Skill.
