Release Schedule September

In the JP version there was a re-run of Seeking the Pearl and her supports. For Global this did not happen, which speeds up the timeline a bit. For this reason, we see Christmas coming early this year.

New Uma: Yamanin Zephyr

Yamanin ZephyrYamanin Zephyr

Yamanin Zephyr is a Pace Chaser suited for Mile and Medium distances, although her kit leans more into Mile races. Consistency is one of her biggest problems, both for her unique Sunny Breeze and Ambitious Breeze. Her unique is a weak acceleration that lasts for a long duration, and is stronger when she is exactly in second place. Yamanin Zephyr faces a strong rival in Taiki Shuttle, who is simply more consistent and overall a bit stronger.

New Support Cards: staminaSymboli Kris S SSR & gutsTsurumaru Tsuyoshi SR

Symboli Kris SSymboli Kris S

Symboli Kris S is a Stamina Card primarily for Late Surgers. Her unique effect is a hefty bonus of +2 to Guts when her Friendship bond is at 80 or higher. Her gold skill is Claw Forward, an Acceleration Skill that works only on Long distances and for Late Surgers. It kicks in when the Uma starts her Last Spurt, costs a bit of HP, and also requires her to be in fourth place or lower.

This card provides a skill that is critical for Late Surgers in Long races, as it will consistently activate at the beginning of the late race, provided you have enough HP to start your Last Spurt. As a stat stick, she is a bit lackluster. Given that there are few Champions Meetings where this skill is useful, it is better to simply borrow this when required.

Tsurumaru TsuyoshiTsurumaru Tsuyoshi

Tsurumaru Tsuyoshi is a Guts SR card that has Late Surger skills. Like all SR cards, you will acquire her naturally with your pulls. Though she has decent Guts output, SR cards usually aren't going to make the cut anymore.

September 1st - September 10th - New Event: "Let's go! Uma Outing!"

This new event lets you go on an outing with one of your Umas. This increases her Bond by 50 points. You get one outing per login and can fill up a progress bar via Career runs, Team Trials, and daily activities to unlock a second outing.

ActivityProgress Bar (in %)

Compete in a Daily Legend Race20

There are a total of 3 locations where you can go on an outing with your Uma and take pictures, with each location having 5 different one-time rewards to choose from.

Also, even if your uma does not currently have an outfit unlocked at Bond Level 11, her Bond still increases past Level 10.

September 3rd - September 9th - Legend Races: Shuka Sho

The Shuka Sho is the final leg of the Triple Tiara. For this month's Legend Races, we face Kawakami Princess and Fine Motion, who won the race in 2006 and 2002, respectively. The Shuka Sho is a 2000m race, so get your Medium distance aces ready to win some Carats and Star Pieces.

September 7th - September 19th - Story Event: "Hark Back, Run Forward"

Our next story is about the Autumn festival. This time it centers around the Cinderella Gray gang. Inari One and Tamamo Cross receive new Uma versions, while Mejiro Ardan, Oguri Cap, and Yaeno Muteki get new support cards.

Mejiro ArdanMejiro Ardan

Our free SSR card will be Mejiro Ardan. She is a Speed card with Race Planner, a Pace Chaser gold recovery skill. As with other welfare cards, she is underwhelming as a stat stick, but she does have Left-Handed ○ in her skill hints.

September 7th - September 19th - Banners

New Umas: Inari One (Festival) & Tamamo Cross (Festival)

Inari OneInari One

Inari One remains committed to being an End Closer. She is the first Uma since Narita Taishin to come with Encroaching Shadow.
Her unique is Firelight, a Final Straight Speed Skill that gets stronger the more Umas she overtook on a corner in the late race.

Skilled on both Turf and Dirt tracks, Inari One is very versatile. Although she can run any distance except Sprint, her Potential Gold Skill, Innate Experience, is only for Long distance.

Tamamo CrossTamamo Cross

Tamamo Cross has a very strong skill set with Killer Tunes for Medium distance mid-race Velocity and It's On!. This feeds into her Unique Skill Lightning Flare which activates off two mid-race Speed Skills and improves even more if more Speed Skills are activated during its uptime, like Tail Held High, which Tamamo Cross also has in her kit.

Paired with Unstoppable from speedAgnes Tachyon, Festival Tamamo can turn into an excellent Pace Chaser for Medium distance.

Fittingly, her opponent there will be Oguri Cap. So if you are looking for a way to face the Ashen Beast, you can unleash the White Lightning!

New Support Cards: witOguri Cap SSR & gutsYaeno Muteki SSR

Oguri CapOguri Cap

Oguri Cap is a strong Wit Support Card with a lot of Pace Chaser hints. Her gold skill is Solid Strike, a Pace Chaser Medium distance Skill that activates in the latter half of the mid-race when within 10 meters of the lead. It provides not only Speed but also Acceleration.

Her Wit output is also very good. The biggest problem with this card is that the skill is very specific, tied to both distance and style. Also, the meta will soon shift away from using multiple Wit cards, and witMejiro Ramonu is around the corner, making this difficult to recommend to most.

Yaeno MutekiYaeno Muteki

Yaeno Muteki comes with Killer Tunes which is a very strong mid-race skill. She also has useful Skill Hints. Her unique provides +3 Guts when her Friendship Bond is maxed out.

Overall, this makes her a very good Guts support that will see more use after Grand Concert when the deck meta allows for the inclusion of Guts support cards.

New Uma: Nakayama Festa

Nakayama FestaNakayama Festa

Nakayama Festa is famous for placing second in the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe, a race that no Japanese horse has been able to win so far. As an uma, Nakayama Festa is built around a gambling persona, which you can see in her Skills. Risk-Maker is a green Skill that activates at random, with an increased chance if Festa is ranked outside the top 4 favorites for the race. Her unique, Laugh at the Odds, is a Speed Skill that requires her to overtake on the final corner with less than 400m remaining, and is stronger when she is not the favorite. Overall, Nakayama Festa has to gamble for benefits that other Umas get without gambling.

Support Card Re-run: witMr. C.B. SSR & staminaSuper Creek SSR

Mr. C.B.Mr. C.B.

Mr. C.B. is great for End Closers due to her Daring Strike. She also performs quite well as a Wit card, making her popular even in decks for other styles. This, however, will only last for the current scenario. For End Closers, she will stay relevant for longer.

Super CreekSuper Creek

Super Creek is a staple recommendation when we need Stamina. She has great Stamina output, and Swinging Maestro is one of the best recovery skills in the game. She will still be relevant for at least another year, until staminaSounds of Earth at the very least.

September 15th - September 25th - Champions Meeting Scorpio Cup

For this Champions Meeting, we go to Kyoto for the Queen Elizabeth II Cup, which is held over 2,200 meters. Expect to face Oguri Cap again, but also Pace Chasers with Determined Descent because of the downhill section during the Acceleration phase. Please see our CM19 guide for more details!

September 23rd - September 30th - Mission Campaign Autumn G1 Celebration, Part 2: Mile Championship

New Uma: Wonder Acute

Wonder AcuteWonder Acute

Wonder Acute is a Dirt runner best suited for Mile races. Her Unique Skill Never Say Never activates 300 meters before the finish line when she is between 2nd and 4th place. She gets an additional Current Speed increase if she is on a Dirt track and within 5 meters of the leader. Fun fact: the real-life Wonder Acute is the oldest Japanese racehorse to win a non-steeplechase G1, taking the 2015 Kashiwa Kinen at the age of 9, and he is known for painting pictures in his retirement. Here is an image of him painting!

Eishin FlashEishin Flash

Eishin Flash is a Speed card for Late Surgers. At MLB she boasts a +2 Speed and a +1 Power bonus, which is increased by her Unique Effect with another +1 Power and a +1 Skill Point bonus when her Friendship Bond is at least 80. Her Speed output is also really good, roughly in the same ballpark as speedMaruzensky. She has Late Surger skill hints and Sharp Streak which is the gold version of Late Surger Straightaways ○.

Narita Top RoadNarita Top Road

Narita Top Road is fine when it comes to Power SR cards. Her skill hints include three green skills, among them Right-Handed ○, which is useful.

September 28th - October 12th - Story Event: "Illuminate the Heart"

It's Christmas! This story's characters are Daiwa Scarlet, Vodka, Narita Brian, Air Groove, and Sakura Laurel.

Sakura LaurelSakura Laurel

The latter is also our story support card: Sakura Laurel is a Stamina card with Dauntless, a Late Surger Speed Skill that goes off in the second half of the race, provided your uma is between 3rd and 8th place. Like most free cards, this one isn't a good stat stick either.

September 28th - October 12th - Banners

New Umas: Daiwa Scarlet (Christmas) & Vodka (Christmas)

Daiwa ScarletDaiwa Scarlet

Daiwa Scarlet (Christmas) is a Front Runner with Restless, an uphill recovery, and Can't Even Catch My Shadow, a Speed Skill that needs her to be in the lead on the Final Straight with another Uma one length behind her. Her unique skill, Queen's Lumination, activates on a corner in the second half of the race and needs her to be in the lead for its full effect. This is strong, but unfortunately Daiwa has nothing in her kit to help her win the lead, which makes her hard to build. Her other skills are for Long distance, and her unique gives her speed carryover at 2500m. Daiwa has a +20% Speed bonus, which is always good.

VodkaVodka

Vodka (Christmas) has No Stopping Me! in her kit, which is a very useful Acceleration Skill and makes her a bit more versatile than the rest of her kit suggests. Her unique, Into High Gear!, is a Speed Skill that activates when she comes off a downhill. On the Tokyo Racecourse it even gains a bit of Acceleration. This makes Christmas Vodka a Late Surger best suited for Medium distance races in Tokyo, and a specialist at 2400m, where she can get a speed carryover.

New Supports:powerNarita Brian SSR & witAir Groove SSR

Narita BrianNarita Brian

Narita Brian is a Power card with Skills for both Pace Chasers and Late Surgers. Her gold skill is Hot Pursuit, a Speed Skill for overtaking in the second half of the race that can be used by both styles. She has +2 Stamina Bonus as well as +1 Skill Point Bonus. Her unique is the same as speedMaruzensky's, granting Training Effectiveness per level of the current Training Facility.

Air GrooveAir Groove

Air Groove is a Wit card for Late Surgers. She provides Fast & Furious and has +1 Speed Bonus. Her unique grants another +1 Speed Bonus and +1 Skill Point Bonus when her Friendship Bond is at 80. While this makes her a reasonably good Wit support, her longevity is questionable due to more important Wit Card banners coming in the near future.

Begins September 28th - Holiday Celebration, Part 1

The Christmas Celebration event features a daily login bonus of Monies. The Friendship Store will have Star Pieces of both Oguri Cap and Biwa Hayahide for sale. Lastly, for about a month, the Friendship Bond gain from Careers and Team Trials will be increased.
