Unity Cup Deckbuilding Guide
Also see Unity Cup Career Guide.
Unity Cup is the start of the Wit meta: Because it is important to hit as many Training Turns as possible without compromising on Races, we want to Train Wit as often as possible.
The general framework for a Unity Cup Deck is 2 SPD 3 WIT
Cards, along with Riko Kashimoto. This Deck can then be flexibly changed based on available Sparks and the Distance that is being Trained towards.
Support Card Recommendations
TIP
Include Cards with at least 35 Race Bonus total, up to 50-60 if playing multiple SSR Cards.
WARNING
MLB SRs are far better than most low LB SSRs.
These recommendations assume MLB cards. If not, then priorities change to the best higher LB SRs/appropriately strong partial LB SSRs and get a bit more complicated.
If you are lacking MLB SRs, it is advised to do 200 pulls on the next good Support Card banner.
Speed Cards
TIP
Other SR Speed Cards are workable, but be careful about your Race Bonus!
Stamina Cards
WARNING
You do not want to use Stamina Cards in Unity Cup unless absolutely necessary. Out of the SRs, Manhattan Cafe is the best.
Power Cards
WARNING
Power Cards are not very good in Unity Cup, as you want to get your Power mainly through Sparks and run Wit cards for turn efficiency and other benefits.
Also see Deckbuilding Around Context for cards like SSR Smart Falcon .
Guts Cards
Wit Cards
TIP
Most SR Wit cards are very usable! Compare them and find the best for your purposes.
Unfortunately, the two worst are Mejiro Ardan and Fuji Kiseki
.
DANGER
While SR Matikanefukukitaru is a solid card with Scenario Link, its 0 Race Bonus makes it difficult to slot into F2P decks while maintaining 35 RB.
FOR FRONT RUNNERS
Riko Kashimoto
The Scenario Link Pal Card for Unity Cup is Riko Kashimoto. She is a must-slot in most Decks during Unity Cup for several reasons.
First of all, Riko provides Stamina and Guts on par with Stamina Cards without having to actively Train on Stamina. For Mile Aces, Riko alone is often sufficient for Stamina requirements, while 9-18 additional Stamina Sparks will meet Stamina requirements for Medium to shorter Long Races.

Daiwa Scarlet with 900 Stamina without Stamina Cards, solely relying on Riko and Stamina Sparks.
Second of all, Riko increases the consistency of Careers significantly. She unlocks Outings through the Unexpected Side Event. Not only do Riko’s Outings make Mood Downs less consequential, they also provide an optimal click for Turns with no Races/Trainings while between 60-80 Energy.

Riko's 3rd Outing
In addition, unlocking her Outings also unlocks two Events: If Outings are unlocked before Classic Year Early Jan, the Bonding with Riko: No More Regrets occurs, providing Stamina, Guts, and a Mood Up. The A Priceless Connection Event occurs after the URA Finale Finals, providing a large sum of Stamina, Guts, and Skill Points.
Riko also awards a Mood Up along with Stamina and Guts the first time she is Trained with, ramping up early-game Stat gains.
Deckbuilding Around Context
While 2 SPD 3 WIT
Riko is the recommended framework for every Unity Cup Deck, there will be situations where we must flexibly play around the available resources.
Growth Rates
Every Uma in the game has a Stat Growth Rate, where Trainings give bonus rewards for specific Stats. Depending on an Uma’s Growth Rates, different Decks can become viable.
An example is Umas with a 20% Speed Growth Rate. As Speed and Wit Trainings both give Speed, 2 SPD 3 WIT is often excessive for these Umas. Depending on the Uma’s secondary or tertiary Growth Rates, the second SPD Card can be replaced with a WIT or PWR Card.

1 Speed Oguri Cap
WARNING
While the playstyle for 1 SPD 4 WIT Decks remains largely similar to 2 SPD 3 WIT Decks, using a non-Wit Card changes the required playstyle slightly. Keep this in mind before attempting Decks such as 1 SPD 1 PWR 3 WIT Decks.
Sparks
Another factor that may affect Deck composition are the available Legacies. While Power and Stamina Sparks are ideal for SPD WIT Decks, they are not always available. Depending on our needs and Sparks, we may choose to flexibly substitute out Cards.
This Seiun Sky inherited Power Sparks, making it difficult to reach Stamina requirements with the traditional 2 SPD 3 WIT Deck. Super Creek was taken instead of a Wit Card in order to fill that gap.

Distance
The Distance of the Track can also change the Decks we use. One common example is Sprint Tracks: Because the Stamina that Riko provides is not necessary, we can choose to substitute Riko for another Card.

Skills
In some cases, Support Cards can also be taken for critical Skills.
DANGER
Doing this is generally not recommended and should only be considered if the rest of the Deck is strong enough to make up for a weaker Support Card.
In this example, Smart Falcon was taken for
Groundwork and
Prudent Positioning, both provided through her Chain Events.
